Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains how fakhareabbas.com uses cookies and similar technologies, why, and how you can change your choice at any time. The site is run by Mohammad Fakhar E Abbas Alvi, based in Lahore, Pakistan.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way. Some are needed for the site to work as you expect. Others, like analytics, are optional and only used if you agree.
In short
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) are only used after you click Accept.
- If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set.
- This site does not use advertising cookies, and advertising storage is switched off.
- You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button.
The cookies and storage we use
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent | This site | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | Until you clear your browser data | Necessary |
| theme | This site | Remembers your light or dark theme choice, if you change it. | Until you clear your browser data | Necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart, so the site can count visits and see how pages are used. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_C9SPXXR65N | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Stores a Clarity visitor ID so repeat visits can be recognised. | Up to 1 year | Analytics |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins the pages you view in one visit into a single session. | 1 day | Analytics |
Durations are the maximum set by Google and Microsoft. Microsoft Clarity may also set a small number of related Microsoft cookies that identify the browser. They are covered by the same choice.
Analytics: what is collected
Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they are and what device they use. Microsoft Clarity shows how visitors use the pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and can create session replays and heatmaps. This helps improve the site. It is not used to identify you personally, and the information is not sold.
Embedded content and other sites
The Contact page includes a Google Map. Loading it can let Google set its own cookies, as described in Google's privacy policy. Links to other sites, such as WhatsApp, Calendly, and LinkedIn, take you to services with their own cookie policies.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies. You can change your answer whenever you like:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of any website may then not work as expected. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google's opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab). Microsoft explains how it handles data in its privacy statement (opens in a new tab).
